About Me

Hello! My name is Apurv Anand, and I’m a third-year computer science student at National Institute Of Technology, Silchar, Assam. I’m interested in the field because it allows me to apply my math, science, and programming knowledge to solve exciting and valuable problems. I am also interested in the future of technology because even though computer technology has come a long way since I was a kid playing with basic calculators, there are still parts of our lives that depend on computers. I want to be able to help make those parts better!

Box-Office App

Used HTML, CSS, JS and ReactJS to make a website or an app that fetches the data from 'TV-Maze' API to tell about ones favourite shows and actors. The app is also installable on PC due to the use of service-workers and has been made after using various 'react-hooks'.

Tic Tac Toe Game

Used HTML, CSS, JS and ReactJs.Made using react hooks and hence, is capable of storing each-and-every movement of each player. It stores a history of moves and players can continue from any move in the stored history.Winner and winning pattern is highlighted.

VidTube



Using HTML, CSS & JS. Implemented the frontend of 'YouTube', thus, it is a youtube clone.This app matches exactly with the UI of Youtube and the first video of the interface is playable. All the basic frontend activities of YouTube are implmented here.

Portfolio Website

Used HTML, CSS & JS to make portfolio website. It includes introduction,education, work-experience, services, works and contact details of Apurv Anand who is a third year CSE student at NIT Silchar.




Joke App



Using HTML, CSS, JS, VoiceRSS API and JokeAPI, made this app. It speaks jokes related to field of CS. Joke API fetches the joke and VoiceRSS API converts Text-to-speech.The robot on the screen is gif image taken from 'Giphy'.





Quiz App

Used HTML, CSS, JS and ReactJS to make a website or an app that takes the quiz of the students.The questions are to be entered and correct answers are to be provided, and the app tells marks obtained corresponding to each and every student. Thousands of questions can be entered and accessed at one time.



Weather App

Used HTML, CSS, JS and RapidAPI to fetch the data corresponding to the present weather conditions at all places of the world. It tells temperature(max & min), wind speed & degrees, humidity etc.







Move-Rest-Repeat

Made this website using 'Wordpress' and all the functionalities were implemented using 'Elementor'. It is a website for a hypothetical company called 'Move-Rest-Repeat' which provides rejuvenating experience to the people by making them do the activities like hiking, cycling etc.

Image recognition Project

Used CNN models along with 'Data Augmentation' and 'Transfer Learning' Concepts on Kaggle 2013 Cats & Dogs datasets to differentiate the images of cats from those of dogs.Used VGG16 CNN model and achieved 97.2% accuracy.

Dashboard for Global SuperStore

Used PowerBI for data cleaning, dummy values generation, data pre-processing etc. Used pie-chart, donut-charts, ribbon charts, maps etc to make a dashboard for the overall revenue of global superstore.




Password Manager

The app manages passwords using MySQL database. NodeJS is used in the backend;HTML, CSS , JS & ReactJS is used in the frontend. The app encrypts each password acc to a token and then stores in DB so, it is not visible publically and decryption provides the required password.
